Babe Ruth - Curse of the Bambino - Framed 8x10 Photographs

In 1918 the Boston Red Sox had won another World Series making it their 5th. The Red Sox were at the time considered the best team in baseball ever. One of the stars of the Red Sox was a young pitcher by the name of George Herman Ruth. During the 1920 season the owner of the Sox needed a little extra cash to finance his girlfriends play called "No, No Nanette". To raise the money Frazee sold Ruth to the New York Yankees for $100,000 dollars and a loan collateralized by Fenway Park. Since Ruth was traded to the Yankees, they have gone on to win 26 World Series Titles. The Red Sox on the other hand, have been to four World Series, losing each in game seven. The 34"x23" framed piece contains an 8x10 photo of Ruth in both uniforms. The collectible also includes a copy of the original bill of sale from Frazee to the Yankees, two 4"x2" nameplates with a small description about the transaction, and a patch from each of Ruth's teams.
