It is dark rusty red color and also ages to a silver gray when left untreated. All Rustic cedar items may be used indoors or out, and may be painted or stained as desired.

Cedar is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage. It is a very light wood (19 pounds per cubic foot) and is easy to work with. It will not shrink or warp as do many other woods used for furniture or garden products. Cedar is uncommonly smooth-surfaced, making it more attractive than other woods.
