The Brass Baron ponds come in three styles and are available in granite or natural mineralstone. They can be stacked to create a cascading waterfall. These ponds are replicas of actual ponds, cast of ground granite/quartz or palo verde mineralstone to complement our fountains. Because they are made from natural rock particles, the ponds will vary in color. Details:

About Brass Baron and Lost Wax Casting

The Brass Baron specializes in the design and production of brass fountains and sculptures that create excitement and elegance in all indoor and outdoor settings. The incredible detail inherent in our sculptures is created as each piece is cast in brass by the ''Lost Wax'' method, one at a time, ensuring exceptionally fine detail and lasting beauty.

The exceptional detail inherent in our sculptures is created as each piece is cast by the ''cire perdue,'' or ''lost wax'' method, dating back to ancient Egypt and refined in Rome and later Paris.

After a mold is created from an original sculpture, wax is poured into the mold, and after hardening and removing the mold, all the details are perfected.

The wax impression is encased inside and out with refined clay. Once the clay sets, the wax impression is fired in a kiln; the wax melts out of the clay mold, and is ''lost.'' The void created by the melted wax in the clay mold is then filled with molten brass, which is identical to the wax impression it replaced.
