During his illustrious 15-year career, White was an 11-time All-NFL selection, 13-time All-Pro, 14-time Pro Bowler, and 2-time Defensive Player of the Year. Second in NFL history for quarterback sacks with 198, he helped lead the Green Bay Packers to a victory in Super Bowl XXXI collecting three sacks. Voted to the NFL's 75th anniversary All-Time Team in 1994, he was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006. He died on December 26, 2004 at the age of 43. The film contains more than 30 interviews of NFL players and coaches, including Steve Young, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, and Brett Favre, White's former teammates and coaches from the Packers and Philadelphia Eagles, broadcasters and others. Also included is never-before-seen footage of White, humorous and heartwarming personal stories, game highlights, photos, and excerpts from interviews with White over the years. This exclusive two-hour documentary provides an in-depth look at a seemingly larger-than-life man; a rare sports hero, with a powerful yet gentle presence, who through strong conviction, compassion and faith, influenced many.
