The game featured a classic match-up between the first seeded UCLA Bruins and the second seeded Arkansas Razorbacks. The Bruins entered the title game in hopes of winning their 11th national championship in school history and adding another chapter to their storied program. The Razorbacks entered the championship game confident and seasoned, making their second state trip to the title game and shooting for a back to back celebration. Not if UCLA had anything to do with it! The Bruins held off the Razorbacks for a convincing 89-78 victory as Ed O'Bannon, the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, led the Bruins back to the top of the college basketball mountain as the 1995 National Champions.
