Crimson Classics: 1979 Alabama Vs. Auburn
Last Minute Sales & Specials
The 1979 Iron Bowl: the final regular season game in a glorious decade of Alabama Football. Going into the game, Alabama stood at 101 wins with 2 National Championships. An Iron Bowl win would put the Tide in a position to play for a 3rd national title, but a loss however meant no Iron Bowl victory, no trip to any bowl game, and no chance at that 3rd title. Having lost 5 straight to the Tide, the Tigers would like nothing more than to play the spoiler. Watch and listen as legendary Tide players and coaches give their unique perspective on both the game and the 1979 season. The team made a pact at the beginning of the year: go 12-0 and win a national title. But for that to happen, it would take a victory in the Iron Bowl, a "Crimson Classic.".
