When a U.S. chemical weapons expert is kidnapped by enemy agents, Admiral Tom Perry (Billy Dee Williams) has the Navy's top SEAL team mobilized. The SEAL team's mission: go deep behind enemy lines and rescue the scientist. The USS Oakland nuclear submarine commanded by "Wild" Bill McKay (Gary Busey) takes the SEAL team to the shore of the enemy country. But during the rescue, the SEAL team gets captured. Locked in a room, without weapons, hundreds of feet under water, the SEAL team must escape in order to survive. It is up to the team's ingenuity and the help of Admiral Perry and "Wild" Bill to bring the team to safety.
