Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) is nearing the end of his string. A gifted street puppeteer, Craig nonetheless is coming up empty-cupped. In order to make some money, Craig's pet-obsessed wife (Cameron Diaz) encourages him to put his nimble fingers to good use and take a job as a filing clerk.
