Angel Almaraz, a Mexican American Cop (Damian Chapa), has spent his whole life being an intense by the book police officer. However, he ?cannot play the game of politics to move up the ranks. Angel's wife suggests Angel try to get another job. During Angel's beat one night a high powered politician is almost assassinated right in front of Angel. Angel risks his life to save Fernando, the aristocratic wealthy man. Fernando changes Angel's life by offering him a job as his head of security. Angel's life quickly changes as he begins a life around many rich upscale and famous singers (Maricela) and gangsters (Miguel Angel Rodriguez). Angel and his family are torn apart with what they thought would be a better life. However the new found money and party life destroys the once close bond Angel had with his wife (Estephania Inglesia). There seems no way back to keep Angel's family intact until a wise Detective Humes (David Carradine) gives Angel some wisdom to find a path back to regain his family he loves so much. However Fernando gets Angel into a troubled path with some Colombian Gangsters and before Angel returns to his home he must survive the hit put on him and Fernando.
