"A compelling and compassionate tale of a country rebuilding itself" (Hollywood Reporter) "Power Trip" is a comic clash of cultures that combusts when AES, a massive American energy company, tries to transform the dysfunctional electric system in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. Set against a backdrop of corruption, assassination and street riots, the film follows Piers Lewis, the AES manager with the unenviable task of training the formerly communist populace to pay for their electricity. Amidst hot tempers, riots and high drama, Lewis balances his love for the Georgian people with the hardships his company creates for them as the city struggles to deal with electricity disconnection and blackouts.
