Film and recording star Doris Day sings and dances in her first-ever Emmy-nominated music special (when it originally aired as The Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff Special) that aired on CBS-TV in 1971. Day sings a collection of her greatest hits including, "It's Magic," "Sentimental Journey" and "Secret Love." Singer Perry Como and Day perform a nostalgic medley together that includes "Everybody Loves A Lover" and "Let Me Call You Sweetheart." Actor Rock Hudson drops by for a surprise visit and even Doris' beloved pooches get in on the act. The Doris Day Special also includes deleted scenes and never-before-seen outtakes.
