Disc Two: 1790-1870 Program Three - "Manifest Destiny Wars" - The United States begins to push westward, attempting to become a world military power by launching the U.S.S. Constitution in 1797. Program Four - "The Civil War" - These were the darkest years militarily for the Republic: a time when Americans turned new, more dangerous, weapons on each other in the Civil War.
