Rosalba's life is about to change. When the busy housewife (Licia Maglietta) is accidentally left behind while on vacation with her family, she decides to take a holiday on her own in ravishing Venice. Charmed by the city and her newfound freedom, she extends her stay, finding a job in a flower shop, renting a room from a wistful waiter (Bruno Ganz) whom she befriends, and rediscovering her love of playing the accordion.
