David Wain and Ken Marino ("Wet Hot American Summer," "The State") team up to create a hilarious ensemble comedy with an all-star cast. "The Ten" is comprised of ten laugh-out-loud funny stories inspired by the Ten Commandments, each told in a different style, with characters and themes overlapping. "The Ten" features: a woman (Winona Ryder) who falls in love with and steals a ventriloquist's puppet, a guy (Adam Brody) who becomes a hero after falling out of a plane, a detective (Liev Schreiber) who covets his neighbor's CAT-Scan machine, a librarian (Gretchen Mol) who has a sexual awakening in Mexico with a local handyman (Justin Theroux), a doctor (Ken Marino) who kills his patient "as a goof", a mother (Kerri Kenney-Silver) who hires a Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator (Oliver Platt) to be a father figure for her children and a prisoner (Rob Corddry) who desires his fellow inmate's "wife". Presenting these stories is a man (Paul Rudd), with his own moral dilemma - having to choose between a beautiful wife (Famke Janssen) and a beautiful, but younger, mistress (Jessica Alba)!.
