Lillian (Christina Ricci) is a free spirited, 21-year-old nomad, but she's engaged to an adulterous deadbeat. She lives in a motel with a melange of societal misfits, from the failed violinist who plays incessantly and the New Age extremist who's always testing the latest "cleanse," to the two drug addicts who inadvertently encounter a group of prostitutes and their menacing pimps.
