Almost Perfect Affair, An (Widescreen)

Director Michael Ritchie, well respected for his perceptive satirical jabs at American society in such diverse films as "The Bad News Bears", "Semi-Tough", and "Smile", presents us with a charming love story while he delivers a gentle swipe at his own movie making industry. Set in the midst of the frenzied goings-on of the Cannes Film Festival (many sequences were actually filmed during the 1976 event), this romantic comedy concerns the relationship between a young idealistic American film-maker (Keith Carradine) and the beautiful wife of a powerful Italian producer (Monica Vitti). Of course, they fall passionately in love.
