Scout Camp (Full Frame, Widescreen)

Set at Camp Rakhouta in the Wasatch Mountains, "Scout Camp" is a family friendly coming-of-age comedy that explores the time honored tradition of young men and their leaders heading off to "rough it" for a week each summer at scout camp. York Hayes is the leader of the Fire Dragon troop. Returning to Camp Rakhouta for what may be his last scout camp, York is confronted with an inexperienced troop that struggles to overcome its own fears and shortcomings, but he is nevertheless determined that the Fire Dragons will leave behind their legacy. Things are not helped by York's constant reminder that his rival Mitch, the leader of the Horned Owls, once again seems to have it all together and challenges York and the Fire Dragons each step of the way. The Fire Dragon's legacy under York's leadership does not start well when they miss the opening ceremonies and the presentation of the Spirit Stick thanks to new scout Reggie's three hour haircut and a pit stop at the last decent bathroom. York's leadership is further tested when he discovers that a member of his troop is afraid to swim in the lake and others are signing up for classes simply because the counselor is a sixteen year-old "hottie". When Fire Dragon patrol member Reggie inadvertently takes the Spirit Stick from its location in front of the Trading Post during a stick fight with Clint and AJ and later loses it, York fears the Fire Dragon's legacy will be that of losing the tradition of Camp Rakhouta. The Fire Dragons search for the Spirit Stick leads to hilarious and memorable experiences including the final confrontation with Mitch and the Horned Owls in the "Battle of the K.Y.B.O." With hilarious and quirky instructors and leaders, "Scout Camp" is a reminder of the good feelings and memories of going to scout camp as we watch and enjoy the Fire Dragons growing together as a troop and learning something about themselves.
