Growing up in South Central LA, homeys Jelly and Roughneck see friends sacrificed just to get ahead. When a drug deal is arranged, Jelly sets up Roughneck, who accidentally kills a cop and lands in jail. When the boys grow into men, they meet again. Jelly has become a successful rap music producer who wants to sign Roughneck's little brother for a music contract for all the wrong reasons.
