About Kaliope Phields

Kaliope Phields was born in Stockholm, Sweden January 2, 1969. One of six children, Kaliope spent summers with her grandparents in the Netherlands, who were avid art collectors. Being immersed and encouraged in the arts from an early age helped her develop a passion for visual arts. This passion enabled Kaliope to win a scholarship from the Prague Institute of Classical Studies for painting. Upon graduation she moved to San Francisco, California where her family had relocated several years prior. Kaliope now lives and works in Seattle, Washington and is represented by galleries across the United States and Europe.
